I live in a small town in Fukuoka prefecture, on the south island of Kyushu. If you find Fukuoka on the map, move down to the city Saga, then go about 1/3 of the way East towards Beppu. The name of my town is Ukiha-machi. Ukiha is located in a horseshoe valley surrounded on 3 sides with mountains. Though I live in a very rural area, there are some advantages over living in a big city, the fruit is delicious, the people are friendly, and the air is fresh..
